Finding confidence with a career in sport
As an introvert, Oscar has always liked how sport can bring him out of his comfort zone and he can work with others. Talking about his love for basketball, Oscar says, ‘sport changed my life.’
Having come from Hong Kong, Oscar still remembers the moment he received his acceptance email from Deakin University to study his Master of Business (Sport Management) in Australia. Oscar chose to study sport at Deakin because of the university’s reputation, having earned the rank of #7 in the world for sport-related subjects.*
Oscar secured an internship with Table Tennis Victoria; after a few months, he secured a permanent role as an Events and Club Officer.
