March 22, 2021 - 2 min read

Deakin University has been ranked as one of the 100 best universities in the world for accounting and finance.

The recently released 2021 QS World University Rankings by Subject use academic reputation, employer reputation and research impact to rank universities across 51 disciplines. In 2021 Deakin was ranked in the Top 1% of universities worldwide in 19 discipline areas, including architecture and built environment, psychology, business and management studies and communication and media studies.

Most exciting is Deakin’s move upward from our place in the top 150 for accounting and finance in 2020, to the new ranking of 93rd. Deakin’s education programs also moved up one place to 31st, and our nursing programs were ranked 30th. QS first began to include nursing in its subject rankings in 2016, and Deakin’s nursing programs have maintained their place in the top 30 universities worldwide each year since.

Deakin’s internationally recognised and well-respected accounting and finance programs have been developed and reviewed with industry. With a range of opportunities for practical experience and professional networking, our students graduate with in-demand skills and professional qualifications. Our graduates are eligible to apply for membership to a range of leading professional accounting and finance bodies.
